CrowdEyes will make it easier to find forgotten items again
New digital Lost & Found platform will help companies, venues, schools, hotels and public organizations handle lost items more efficiently, transparently and user-friendly.
Copenhagen, May 2026 – Every year, thousands of items are forgotten in hotels, schools, restaurants, events, cultural centers, sports halls, transport hubs and other places with many visitors. For both guests and organizations, handling them can be time-consuming, confusing and frustrating.
CrowdEyes wants to change that.
CrowdEyes launches a digital Lost & Found solution that makes it easier for organizations to register, manage, match, and hand over lost items — while giving guests and citizens a simpler way to get their things back.
“Most people know the feeling of having forgotten something important. A bag, a phone, a set of keys or a child's favorite teddy bear. With CrowdEyes, we want to make the process safer, faster and more transparent — both for the person who has lost something and for the organization that wants to help,” says Jann Kallehauge, Managing Director and initiator of CrowdEyes.
From manual handling to digital overview
Many organizations today handle lost items manually — via notebooks, spreadsheets, emails, phone calls, or internal messages. This can create uncertainty about where an item is, who handled it, and whether it has been returned to its rightful owner.
CrowdEyes brings the process together in one digital platform.
When an item is found, employees can register it in a web app with relevant information and images. The item can then be made visible to users in the CrowdEyes app or via a digital search function. When an individual believes they have found their item, they can submit a request, after which the organization can verify ownership and document the return.
The result is a more structured and traceable process from discovery to reunification.
Better service and less administration
CrowdEyes is designed for organizations with a large number of people and where lost items can quickly become an administrative burden. This includes hotels, schools, amusement parks, restaurants, shopping malls, cultural institutions, sports halls, transport operators and municipal entities.
The platform aims to help organizations reduce the time spent on manual inquiries while providing users with a better experience.
“A forgotten item is often a negative experience. But if the organization can quickly and professionally help the owner get it back, the situation can be turned into something positive. This is exactly where CrowdEyes creates value,” says Jann Kallehauge.
Transparency, documentation and security
A central element of CrowdEyes is documentation. The platform supports a digital process where registration, request, verification and delivery can be documented. This creates greater security for both the organization and the owner.
At the same time, the solution is designed with a focus on simplicity, so employees can quickly register and manage items without cumbersome workflows.
A more sustainable approach to lost items
CrowdEyes also has a sustainability perspective. When more items find their way back to their owners, it can contribute to less waste and fewer unnecessary repurchases.
“The most sustainable thing is often that things are not replaced, but find their way back to the person who already owns them. CrowdEyes can not only solve the problem of forgotten items, but we can make it easier to create more reunions,” says Jann Kallehauge.
Ready for dialogue with organizations
CrowdEyes is aimed at both private and public organizations that want a more professional and digital handling of Lost & Found.
The platform is being launched and will be presented to potential customers and partners in the coming period.
